PLEASE NOTE: A news service quality photo was forwarded to us showing another angle of Elvis' belt on the evening in question, and it appears that details do not match our belt. It is still a wonderful example of his personal clothing, but there is no current evidence that it was worn on the stage.

Elvis did, however, wear belts of this style on a number of occasions. A very similarly-styled gold belt with a scaled design was sold with an ensemble of Elvis' in 2016 at Graceland Auctions. There was a period where he like these kind of belts!

Offered is a gorgeous, ornate gold-colored scaled metal belt with a large buckle owned and worn by Elvis Presley and gifted to his aunt Delta Biggs, who lived with Elvis at Graceland.

The typewritten, signed letter from Elvis' aunt Delta Mae Biggs (written while sitting at Graceland) reads "I am Elvis' aunt Delta and I have lived at Graceland since 1967 when Elvis asked me to move in here. This gold metal belt with large buckle and 3 black stones was worn by Elvis alot [sic] her at Graceland and when he went out. Elvis gave me this belt one night at our Graceland home. he was cleaning out his closets of clothes he did not wear any longer and gave me this belt along with some other clothes. Elvis did this all the time." Also included is a letter from Elvis' hairdresser and spiritual confidant Larry Geller where he states that he recognizes the belt as one Elvis wore often. The belt measures from 28 inches long up to 48 inches long when fully stretched. The buckle measures 4 1/8 x 2 5/8 inches and both present with some distresses and loss of finish in a few areas. Excellent to Mint condition.
