The ball includes 29 signatures, 25 of which are identified below. Hall of Famers Al Lopez, Larry Doby and Nellie Fox are here. They led the White Sox to respectable 90-64 record that year, but they were no match in the American League leading New York Yankees, who won 98 games. The ball includes the following signatures: Al Lopez (sweetspot, manager HOF), Paul LaPalme, Ellis Kinder, Nelson Fox (HOF), Ron Northey, Tony Cuccinello (coach), Dick Donovan, Jim Rivera, Larry Doby (HOF), Earl Battey, Les Moss, Bob Kennedy, Jim Derrington, Jim Landis, Fred Hatfield, Billy Pierce ("Bill"), Gerry Staley, Minnie Minoso ("Orestes"), Bill Fischer, Jack Harshman, Sammy Esposito, Dixie Howell, Dave Philley, Jim Landis, Don Gutteridge (label side, coach). Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The ball is moderately toned and the signatures in dark blue are 6-7 in strength, with a couple stronger. The lighter signatures are only 2-3, but readable in many instances.
