The offered 1929 panoramic print of the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field was produced by Kaufmann & Fabry Co. in celebration of the National League Champions. Kaufman & Fabry was a well-known photography company in Chicago--they would later be the official photographers of the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. This panoramic captures a wonderful view of "The Friendly Confines" from the center field bleachers and features portraits of 25 members of the ball club, including stars Hack Wilson, Rogers Hornsby, Kiki Cuyler and Gabby Hartnett. Also pictured are Manager Joe McCarthy, his coaches, owner William Wrigley, team executives Veeck and Seys, the team mascot, team trainer, groundskeeper and the announcer. The A's featured Al Simmons, Lefty Grove and slugger Jimmie Foxx, who hit three balls out of Wrigley in those first two games. The Cubs did take Game 3 in Philly, but ultimately lost the series 4-1. The panoramic print measures 38 x 10 inches, and the scuffing, toning, paper loss and edge wear require a technically Very Good grade, but the photographic areas present better.
