Offered is a black western-style suit owned and worn by Burt Reynolds. The suit emanates from Reynolds personal wardrobe—he auctioned a number of his personal pieces of clothing in 2014. The suit is a size 44, and its western styling was a specialty of suitmaker “HBarC” whose ”California Ranchwear” label is still inside the jacket. HbarC established a Los Angeles store in the 1940s as a maker of authentic western wear, and with the popularity of western movies, many Hollywood studios began to use HbarC for their wardrobes. Catering to the Hollywood elite, HBarC supplied western wardrobe clothing for the likes of Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, John Wayne, Elvis Presley and John Travolta to name just a few, so Burt was in pretty good company when he purchased this handsome suit. The suit is housed in an elaborate display with photos of Burt and his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Accompanied by the original tag from the 2014 auction of "Property from the Life and Career of Burt Reynolds." The display measures 37 ½ x 51 ½ inches and the suit presents in Near Mint condition.
