Offered is a 1973 die-cut record store standee display that is almost as large as the King himself! Bedazzled in his American Eagle jumpsuit with a red lei around his neck and belting a tune into the microphone in his hand, this huge cardboard display emits all the power and energy of Elvis live in person. These displays, due to size and delicate nature of their cardboard construction combined with their purpose of display on the floor of a record store, typically did not survive intact, making this example a stunning relic. The standee depicts Elvis in full glory and the full color image is as captivating as if one were in the audience at the Honolulu International Center that famous day in January 1973. The standee measures 55 1/2 by 33 1/2 inches. The display presents with moderate water staining along the edges and at the main fold. The color remains bold and the standee architecture on the reverse is intact and functioning well. Excellent condition.
