The offered 1972 “Seasons Greetings” postcard has been signed by Elvis Presley in the address area “Love, Elvis Presley.” The postcard was mailed to a “Sandy Miller” of Palm Springs, California. Interestingly, the postcard was mailed from Glendale, California on December 26, 1972. While Elvis was in Memphis that Christmas, Elvis and a large entourage had returned from Hawaii to Los Angeles on November 25, and it is possible someone asked for his autograph while he was in the Los Angeles area for a few days. The postcard features a classic holiday image concocted by Colonel Tom Parker, showing him dressed as Santa Claus along side Elvis belting out a song in his red jumpsuit. The postcard measures 5 ½ x 3 ½ inches, is encapsulated by Beckett Authentic and presents with expected mild wear from mailing, as well as with two holes neatly punched in one side. The holes were made by a standard 3-hole punch, most-likely by binder storage by a previous owner. Excellent condition.
