Offered is Elvis Presley's “EP” bridge ornament and metal arms from a pair of his custom aviator sunglasses, as well as two 1970's Las Vegas Hilton Hotel casino $1 chips. All of these items were given to Pauline Nicholson by Vernon Presley while they were cleaning out cabinets and drawers in the kitchen at Graceland--Pauline was a housekeeper at Graceland. The “EP” emblem has a small “DBR” maker's mark on the reverse, which is for Dennis Roberts, the optician who cusomized a number of pairs of sunglasses for Elvis in the 1970s. “POLAROID” is printed on the right are, and the model number “8004” and country of manufacture “HOLLAND” are printed on the left arm. The accompanying signed letter from Graceland housekeeper and cook Pauline Nicholson reads “To whom it may concern, I Pauline Nicholson pass along these items that once belonged to Elvis Presley. I was given these items from Vernon Presley out of kitchen drawer at Graceland, while we were cleaning out cabinets. I worked for the Presley family for many years as a cook and house keeper. I hope you enjoy these items. THANKS TO THE PRESLEY FAMILY FOR THE GREAT MEMORIES. (capitalization in original)” The letter's reverse lists the items Pauline was given, which includes the items offered here plus several other pieces that were sold off separately by a collector. The “EP” ornament measures 1 ¼ x ½ inches, the arms measure 5 inches in length, and the casino chips measure 1 ½ inches in diameter. Excellent to Mint condition overall.
