The offered Memorex cassette tape was used to record the entire Elvis Presley evening concert on June 7, 1975, at The Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The fan responsible for the recording quickly flipped the 90 minute tape missing only a few seconds of one song, otherwise she captured the whole show! A group of 12 photographs of Elvis performing at this show are presented in the following lot. The tape starts with the end of the last song by the Sweet Inspirations, Elvis' opening act and backup singing group, then pauses, and proceeds with the concert. The tape contains the following songs and other sections of the concert:
Side A: "2001 Theme", "C C Rider", "I Got A Woman", "Love Me", "If You Love Me", "Love Me Tender", "All Shook Up", "Teddy Bear"/"Dont Be Cruel", "Hound Dog", "The Wonder Of You", "Burning Love", Band Introductions, "Johnny B Goode" (featuring James Burton), Drum Solo (featuring Ronnie Tutt), Bass Solo (featuring Jerry Scheff), Piano Solo (featuring Glen D Hardin), "School Days", "T.R.O.U.B.L.E.", "Why Me Lord?" (continues on Side B);
Side B: "Why Me Lord?" (continued from Side A), "How Great Thou Art", "Let Me Be There", "An American Trilogy", "Funny How Time Slips Away", "Little Darlin", "Mystery Train"/"Tiger Man", "Can't Help Falling In Love", Closing Vamp (cuts off).
The cassette presents in playable condition, as evidenced by the sample above, but the playing and tape mechanism is degrading with time. Also included are two relics from the "Chateau Motor Hotel" in Shreveport, an ashtray and mostly full book of matches. Very Good to Excellent condition.
