Offered is a complete custom made pink tuxedo and shoes worn on stage by singer David Cassidy. When it was first sold it was dated to the 1980s, and the jacket's lower cut, double-breasted design attests to this vintage, but superstar designer David Shilling started making hats and other clothing professionally in 1976. His labels are in the jacket and the pants and read "I got it from DAVID SHILLING on Wednesday" with the address of Shilling's world famous "36 Marleybone High Street" address in London.
Cassidy was best known for his role as Keith Partridge, the son of Shirley Partridge (played by his stepmother, Shirley Jones), in the 1970s musical-sitcom The Partridge Family. This role catapulted Cassidy to teen idol status as a superstar pop singer of the 1970s, and his solo music career extended over the next 30 plus years.
The jacket and pants are by David Shilling and the shoes are by Dana Dance Shoes. The tuxedo and shoes emanate directly from the collection of David Cassidy that was first offered at auction in 2006 at Julien's Auctions, who presented Cassidy's collection. The suit still maintains its original lotting tag.The jacket has faded heavily to a light pink, while the pants still hold their shimmering pink color. There are stains on the right buttocks of the pants and on the right knee. No size noted on shoes. The jacket measures 18" from armpit to armpit and is 30.5" in length. Pants measure 41" in length. The length of each arm is 22". Very Good condition.
