Offered is a wonderful little presentation drawing of one of artist Al Kilgore's most beloved characters, Bullwinkle. The drawing is signed
"To Floyd from 'Bullwinkle' and Al Kilgore." The sheet is adhered to a full size piece of paper with a clipping of Kilgore's obituary from the August 26, 1983, issue of The New York Daily News. It reads in part "Al Kilgore, 55, best known for his nationally syndicated 'Bullwinkle' comic strip, died August 15 of a lung embolism in New York City...As a long-time Laurel & Hardy fan, he was one of the founders of the Sons of the Desert, a company formed to preserve the art of the comedy team." Laurel & Hardy were an obvious inpsiration for Kilgore's Rocky & Bullwinkle of comic and cartoon fame. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentic. The sheet measures 3 ¾ x 4 ¾ inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
