Offered is an interesting artifact from President John F. Kennedy's 1960 presidential campaign--a "Regent Sound Studios" 33 1/3 RPM acetate with NINE different radio commercials. The acetate would have been sent to an official in the campaign for approval or perhaps directly to a radio station for broadcast. The first ad is actually a version of "High Hopes" sung by Frank Sinatra! All four ads on side one, which is title "Democratic Music," are musical numbers-the others are entitled "Democratic Party", "Ride that Democratic Train" and "Sweet Music in Washington" which all feature a New Orleans style sound. Side two, which is titled "Senator Kennedy Speaks," features five more ads, but these are all straightforward announcer reads with excerpts from Kennedy speeches. The ads are entitled "Care for the Aged", "Education", The New Frontier", "The New Frontier II" and "Civil Rights." Included is the original envelope for the acetate. The acetate measures 12 inches in diameter and presents with only the mildest wear. Near Mint condition.
