Offered is a rare copy of The Beatles interview LP Beatle-Views: 1966 American Tour (catalog number "BV-1966") that was printed in very small numbers for distribution to the readers of Ring Around the Pops, Braile Quarterly publication devoted to pop music and its artists. The album's sleeve is blank, with just the “Ring Around the Pops / Braille Quarterly” return address sticker, indicating this may be an advance copy, but it does have the standard label on the vinyl. The album normally is seen with a large white sticker label with the album title and other text in red ink--while there is some tape damage on the cover, this copy never had that standard label that would have covered most of the area. The excerpts were compiled from several interviews done during their 1966 U.S. concert tour, and they are narrated by Ken Douglass. The interviews find the boys discussing songwriting, live performing, hobbies, and, of course, John Lennon's controversial comments about The Beatles being "bigger than Jesus." The record measures 12 inches in diameter and presents with little wear to the vinyl, but does have some missing paper on both sides of the label which have been laid down with some tape. Excellent condition.
