Mercury 7 Astronaut Scott Carpenter has signed this 8 x 10 inch photo of him in his astronaut suit during the Mercury program of the early 1960s. Carpenter was a naval officer and aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, astronaut, and aquanaut. Carpenter was the second American (after John Glenn) to orbit the Earth and the fourth American in space, after Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, and Glenn. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The display measures 14 x 21 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
