The award reads “Presented to Z-94 FM to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 500,000 copies of the RCA Records Album, Cassette and C.D. 'Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite.” It was very common for record labels like RCA to present an award to radio stations that supported their artists. Based on the style of the award, it was most-likely issued in 1988 or later, due to the the “R” hologram used. It was common for gold and platinum records to be reprinted during later periods when record companies were requesting new certifications--Aloha was re-certified Double Platinum in 1988. The award measures approximately 21 by 17 inches and presents with minor wear to the frame and plexiglass. Excellent to Mint condition.
