On June 30, 1976 in North Carolina, Elvis was greeted by a crowd of more than 16,000 at the Greensboro Coliseum. The Greensboro Daily News described the wild scene at the concert: “The coliseum’s domed roof echoed and resounded with deafening roars, screams and yells as Presley did some bumps, grinds, tossed his guitar skyward and knelt alongside the stage to talk to his admirers. Women who ran onstage had to be restrained. Others screamed with delight as they tossed bouquets of roses, athletic trophies, teddy bears and Elvis dolls onstage at his feet.” Offered are four (4) photos of Elvis on stage wearing his Blue Egyptian Bird jumpsuit as he entertains the enthusiastic fans. The photos each measure 3 1/2 by 5 inches and have a Kodak printing stamp with the date “Oct 76” on the reverse (it was common at the time to print photos at a later date). The photos come with a souvenir folio that measures 11 by 8 1/2 inches and a button that measures 3 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) in diameter. The collection of mementos from the concert in Greensboro on June 30, 1976 is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. The souvenir folio, exhibiting minor wear around the edges, the photos and the button are in Excellent condition overall.
