The offered Official Major League baseball is signed by baseball announcing legend Ernie Harwell. The ball is inscribed ON EVERY PANEL by Harwell telling the story of his first broadcast for the Dodgers and Jackie Robinson stealing home. It reads:

The best part of broadcasting for the Dodgers in '48 & '49 was being with Jackie Robinson. He was the perfect choice to break the color line in baseball. Jack was intense. A great player & a great leader. I often played cards (Black Jack) with him and Campy. Also Reese & Hodges. In the first broadcast I ever did for the Dodgers, Aug 4 '48 Robinson stole home in 1st inning. Russ Meyer, Cub pitcher, protested the call. His profanity got on our broadcast. Ump ejected Meyer & he was also fined & suspended. Ernie Harwell HOF '81.

The ball is accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentic and presents in MINT condition.
