Offered is an RIAA Gold Record Award for The Beatles 1965 single "HELP!" "Presented to John Lennon." The single was released on July 16, 1965, and originally certified gold on September 16, 1965! The presented award was produced during the late 1970s, based on the style. The plaque reads: “Presented to JOHN LENNON to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the Capitol Records Single Record 'HELP!'” It was commonplace for record labels and even the band itself to order awards at later times when further certifications were done. The award measures 13 x 17 inches and presents with only minor scuffs to the gold painted frame. Near Mint condition.
