The offered trio of pieces have each been signed by "The Last of the Red Hot Mamas," legendary singer Sophie Tucker. Tucker's career spanned nearly 50 years, beginning on the stage but encompassing a very popular recording career, and eventually including appearances on television in the 1950s and 1960s, most notably The Ed Sullivan Show. This lot includes:

  • Sophie Tucker signed first edition of her 1945 autobiography, Some of these Days. "To Terry Shaud Love Sophie Tucker, 5/24/58.";
  • Sophie Tucker signed copy of the lyrics to one of her most famous songs, "Be in the Business of Staying Young." "With Compliments, Sophie Tucker."; and
  • Sophie Tucker handwritten and signed January 1963 postcard from The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. "Thank you so very much for the lovely birthday greetings and wishes. Bless you, Sophie Tucker." (Tucker's birthday was January 18.)

Each piece is accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentic. The lyric sheet measures 8 1/2 x 11 inches. The book jacket presents with some wear, but the group presents in Excellent to Mint condition overall.
