Acting great Katherine Hepburn has dutifully signed the offered piece of her personal "Katherine Houghton Hepburn" stationary to a fan. The brief letter is dated "XI - 16 - 1989," and simply states "Dear Mark Viggiano -- Thank you -- Katherine Hepburn." The letter has been matted for framing with a wonderful photo of Hepburn in her 1940's prime. Hepburn's career as a Hollywood leading lady spanned more than 60 years. Her work came in a range of genres, from screwball comedy to literary drama, and she received four Academy Awards for Best Actress—a record for any performer. In 1999, Hepburn was named by the American Film Institute the greatest female star of classic Hollywood cinema. Her films included The Philadelphia Story, Morning Glory, Bringing Up Baby, The African Queen, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Alice Adams, The Lion in Winter and On Golden Pond, to name just a few. The letter is accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentic. Excellent condition.
