Offered is Dorothy Lamour's twice-signed April 14, 1948, contract with RKO Radio Pictures. The contract was the source of great controversy and litigation because when Lamour became pregnant RKO refused to honor the three-picture agreement. Lamour sued and won a $195,000 settlement from RKO in 1949. On page 31 one of the agreement, she has signed twice, once as "Dorothy Lamour Howard" (her married name) and as "Dorothy Lamour." Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. Also included is a limited edition swatch of Dorothy's dress which she wore in the 1962 Bob Hope and Bing Crosby film The Road to Hong Kong. The swatch is presented on a certificate, also signed by Lamour, with an image of the three stars and numbered "S112 of 198." The contract is on 8 1/2 x 14 inch legal paper and presents with moderate wear. Excellent condition.
