Offered is a 1969 test pressing of The Flying Burrito Brothers first LP The Gilded Palace of Sin. The 33 1/3 RPM LP would have been sent to the band itself or a their management team prior to its February 1969 release. The white "Monarch Record Mfg. Co." label is handwritten in grease pencil and lists the band name, A&M (the record company) and the matrix number for the record, but no title. All 11 tracks are here, and in the proper order. The Gilded Palace of Sin continued Gram Parsons' and Chris Hillman's work in modern country music, fusing traditional sources like folk and country with other forms of popular music like gospel, soul, and psychedelic rock. The record measures 12 inches in diameter and presents in playable condition with only minor defects. Very Fine condition.
