1969 Janis Joplin and Savoy Brown Filmore West/Winterland Concert Poster (1969 Second Printing)

Offered is a 1969 Janis Joplin and Savoy Brown concert poster for the legendary San Francisco venues Winterland and The Fillmore West. For posters that sold well at concerts, it was not unusual that promoter Bill Graham would do a second printing right away, and sell these posters at other shows and local shops. The offered poster falls into this “second printing” category, but was printed in 1969. The difference on the poster is the yellow color added to the jukebox trim—this was white on the first printing examples, as well as the size being just a touch wider in size. The poster measures 14 ¼ x 21 inches and presents with minor scuffs in the dark border areas and tape remnants on the reverse. Excellent condition.
