Offered is an amazing trio of artifacts from Elvis Presley's early 1970's Las Vegas concerts at The International/Hilton Hotel, including the rarely seen and massive version of the stuffed "Hound Dog" souvenir, a black SILK scarf worn by Elvis on stage, a souvenir "straw" hat and button. All of the items were given by Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker to one of Parker's friends who came to see the shows in Las Vegas several times, Sylvia Logan. Her notarized letter accompanies, which reads:

My name is Sylvia Logan and we had the pleasure of knowing Colonel Parker and meeting Elvis several times. He was a gentleman and had the Southern characteristics. We got to see Elvis' shows in Las Vegas, as the Colonel's guest. The Colonel would have my husband , Woody Logan, drive all four of us to Vegas (The Colonel, Marie Parker, Sylvia and Woody Logan). We would watch the show from the Parker's private booth. During the show, Elvis said he was so happy to see his friends from Palm Springs, Woody and Sylvia Logan. I saw the 4 foot hound dog stuffed animal at an Elvis show and told the Colonel it was darling. He gave it to me at a Las Vegas show. The scarf on the dog was one that Elvis had worn on stage and threw to me. I put the scarf on the dog and lift it there for decades. The hat was given to me by Elvis when we went to Summer Fest. in Las Vegas. We've had this dog in our home for decades. Our relationship with Elvis and the Colonel was not a fan-star relationship-they were our friends. Our family was involved in Elvis' life. Our son Rick Logan was a bodyguard of Elvis, as well as our son Art Logan, who went on tour as security and stage crew. Our daughters Holly Logan and Ione Logan cleaned Elvis' Palm Springs home. My husband Woody landscaped Elvis' Palm Springs home. In fact, our relationship was such that we flew on the Lisa Marie to Vegas to see Elvis. It had a complete bedroom and bathroom, it was very luxurious. From this friendship, only memories and the hound dog remain. Please enjoy this unique piece of history, from our family to yours. *The pin was also gifted to us by the Colonel.

The group includes:

  • Elvis Presley giant sized souvenir stuffed "Hound Dog", measures 46 inches from tail to the top of the head. The dog still maintains its original "ELVIS" ribbon attached to the dog's chest. Near Mint condition;
  • Elvis Presley stage-worn black SILK scarf, worn at a concert at the International/Hilton Hotel, in 1972. Scarf measures 36 x 34 inches and presents with the very fine hem line at two ends, with creases and folds from being tied around the dog for nearly 50 years! Excellent condition;
  • Elvis Presley Hilton "Summer Festival" "straw" hat. Measures 12 x 11 inches. The paper band has some small areas of chipping. Excellent to Mint condition;

"Elvis Summer Festival / International Hotel-RCA Records" souvenir button. Measures 3 inches in diameter. Excellent to Mint condition.

This is an absolutely amazing collection from a family close to Colonel Parker with many intimate interactions with Elvis Presley during his 1970's concert touring days. The giant version of the hound dog is rarely seen in the marketplace, and a stage-worn SILK scarf with such solid provenance is a remarkable item to come to auction.
