Not too many people live on a street named after themselves, but in 1971 the City Council of Memphis, Tennessee voted to officially change the name of a stretch of Highway 51 South to "Elvis Presley Boulevard." After the January 17, 1972, official ceremony which included Memphis Mayor Wyeth and Vernon Presley (Elvis was in Los Angeles rehearsing for his next round of Las Vegas concerts) Elvis could claim that distinction as the new address of Graceland was now 3764 Elvis Presley Boulevard. Pretty cool, even for Elvis. The exact vintage of this sign is a bit uncertain, but it shares details of other signs that have been dated to the early period of their existence. An impressive showpiece. The sign measures 42 x 9 inches and presents with expected wear from being mounted on the street and from the elements. Excellent to Mint condition.
