The offered RCA "Floating Radio" was owned by Elvis Presley and gifted to Elvis' friends Sonny and Judy West. The Model "RZG 348Y" radio could float while it played AM radio, and it was powered by 6 AA batteries. The offered example was given to Elvis by his record company, RCA, and used in the pool area of his house in Beverly Hills on Monovale Drive in the late 1960s, when the radio was manufactured. The accompanying letter from Steve Kelley, a representative of the Sonny West estate, explains:

In the late 1960's or early 1970's, RCA gave Elvis a very limited number of these waterproof AM radios. They were designed for use in swimming pool areas. After Sonny and Judy West were married, they moved into Elvis' home at 144 Monovale Drive. This radio was used in Elvis' pool on Monovale. The radio was given to Sonny and Judy West.

The radio measures 8 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter and presents in well-worn condition. It is unclear whether with cleaning and minor repairs it would be operational, but it may. Very Good condition.
