Offered a a too-cool pair of black shades owned by Elvis Presley. Elvis never left out the sunglasses when completing his look, and the offered pair with their slightly green tinted lenses would have made any number of ensembles complete. The slight angle of the design, almost cat-like in shape, indicates these may hail from the late 1960s--very early 1970s at the latest. The glasses were later given to Elvis' cousin Gene Smith. The accompanying August 17, 1981, bill of sale from Billy Smith to Mike Moon lists a number items, including "3 pair of sunglasses," of which the offered pair is one. The glasses remained in Mike Moon's museum for more than 35 years before noted Elvis collector Chris Davidson purchased most of the contents of the museum in 2018. His letter also accompanies. The sunglasses measure 5 1/4 x 5 inches and present with only moderate wear in Near Mint condition.
