Offered is a killer Elvis Presley owned 14K gold lightning bolt necklace, very reminiscent of his trademark "TCB" necklaces he had custom made in the 1970s. The necklace was given to Elvis' bodyguard Dave Hebler, who worked for Elvis in the mid-1970s. Accompanied by letter from Dave Hebler stating "To whom it may concern: My name is Dave Hebler and for a number of years I was Elvis Presley's personal bodyguard. Elvis gave me a number of personal items both while on tour and when I was with him at Graceland and his Beverly Hills home on Monovale Dr. Elvis gave me this 14k lightning bolt chain. Elvis told me it reminded him of the Shazam cartoon character. It was about this time that he started wearing capes with jumpsuits. I worked for Elvis from 1972 until 1976." Elvis' reference to Shazam may date this to 1974, when the popular TV show initially appeared, but the comic book character was popular when he was a child, as well. The necklace was purchased from Hebler in the late 1990s and displayed at the "Elvis-A-Rama" museum in Las Vegas for many years. The pendant measures 1/4 x 1 inch with a 24 inch chain. The necklace presents Near Mint condition.
