The word "iconic" is thrown around liberally in our descriptions, but the offered photo of James Dean taken on the set of the 1956 film Giant is the definition of the word. Cigarette hanging out of his mouth, thumb on the belt buckle, leaning just so against the trailer--pure James Dean. The image we have frozen in time of the young actor that was taken from us just as his star started to soar. The photo was taken by noted Hollywood photographer Phil Burchman, and his name and address label is on the reverse along with "James Dean" and other editorial markings. The photo measures 7 1/2 x 9 /12 inches and presents Near Mint to Mint condition.
