Offered is an unassembled counter top display box made to house several full sets of the 1977 RCA special collector's series of 45 RPM records box sets of 15 records. When assembled it would sit on the counter of record stores to promote the boxed sets. Also included is a complete boxed set of the 15 records with matching black and yellow design and a later 10-record boxed set with red and white design.
The bright yellow browser carton was specifically printed with black lettering for retail display and lists the full 30 songs that are included on the fifteen 45 records on both sides of the display: “It’s Now or Never/A Mess of Blues”; “Jailhouse Rock/Treat Me Nice”; “Any Way You Want Me/Love Me Tender”; “In the Ghetto/Any Day Now”; “Hound Dog/Don’t Be Cruel”; “Return to Sender/Where Do You Come From”; “Loving You/Teddy Bear”; “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You/Rock-A-Hula Baby”; “Blue Suede Shoes/Tutti Frutti”; “Are You Lonesome Tonight/I Gotta Know”; “Heartbreak Hotel/I Was the One”; “Suspicious Minds/You’ll Think of Me”; “I Got Stung/One Night”; “All Shook Up/That’s When Your Heartaches Begin”; and “Crying in the Chapel/I Believe in the Man in the Sky.”
The unused display measures 17 x 15 inches and presents in Near Mint condition. The two packages of 45s present with moderate wear, but the 45s and sleeves inside are in stunning Near Mint to Mint condition.
