Offered is the largest (and heaviest!) Elvis Presley award ever to come to the marketplace. Presented here is the RCA/BMG award to commemorate Elvis' singular achievement of selling a BILLION records. Yes, that's "billion" with a "b". The number seems staggering, but there has been ample scholarship to back up the lofty claim, which includes both U.S. and international sales since Elvis' career launched in 1954. While this 70 pound pale green smoked glass trophy is a massive display piece, but is dwarfed by the version presented to Graceland which stand over six feet tall! It's possible this version was created at the same time as the Graceland version, but presented to an RCA/BMG executive. The award reads "Presented to THE ESTATE OF ELVIS PRESLEY To Commemorate Sales Of Over 1 Billion RCA Records--BMG Music." The award measures 18 x 45 1/2 inches. It has one small chip at the top of the point. Excellent to Mint condition.
