Offered is a most-likely unique test pressing of Elvis Presley's 1972 LP Elvis As Recorded at Madison Square Garden where one side used the original inner sleeve artwork from the album, but the OTHER SIDE uses artwork from Elvis' 1973 live LP Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii. It's possible that the crew at the RCA Indianapolis plant was testing a picture disc idea for the Aloha release. Whatever the case, what we're left with is a remarkable and rare artifact of Elvis' recording career. The matrix numbers indicate the original plates from the Indianapolis plant were used to make this test pressing--they match the original commercially produced pressing that came out of the plant in June of 1972 when the album was released. The album measures 12 inches in diameter and presents in VG+ condition. Plays well.
