Offered is a 8 x 10 news service photo of Frank Shea being exhuberantly hugged by Joe DiMaggio after Game 5 of the 1947 World Series signed in blue Sharpie by both men.The frame is matted and covered to reveal the caption for the photo: “October 4, 1947 / 5th Game of World Series / Ebbets Field, Brooklyn / Frank Shea (left), rookie pitcher and winner over the Brooklyn Dodgers, 2-1. Joe DiMaggio (right) hit his second home run of the series.” It appears the original paper caption was removed--a remnant still appears below the sticker with the caption text.
