Offered is a signed portrait of America's 25th President, William McKinley. McKinley signed boldly between the inscription and the date, which are both in another hand. The inscription reads, "Many happy birthdays, for Ida F. Dumont," and the date reads, "November 1st, 1990," -less than a year from McKinley's assassination. Pieces signed while McKinley was in office as President are highly desirable. The photo measures 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches and is housed in a matted frame which measures 11 1/4 x 13 1/2 inches. Letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentication. Near Mint in appearance, though the frame does have some distresses.
