Offered is an RIAA Gold Record Award for Elvis Presley's 1969 hit "Suspicious Minds“ presented to producer Chips Moman's song publishing company “Press Publishing.” Songwriter Mark James, who wrote “Suspicious Minds”, "Raised On Rock", "It's “Only Love", and "Moody Blue", worked for Moman at the time he penned the song. The song was recorded by Elvis at Moman's American Sound Studio in Memphis in January of 1969. The record was released on August 1, 1969, and certified gold by the RIAA on October 28, 1969. The plaque reads: “Presented to PRESS PUBLISHING to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the RCA RECORDS Pop Single Record 'SUSPICIOUS MINDS.'” The award measures 13 ¼ X 17 ¼ inches and presents with mild scuffs and scratches to the wooden frame and with the backing paper replaced. Excellent to Mint condition.
