Offered is a huge paper movie theatre banner which promoted Elvis Presley's 1962 film, Kid Galahad. A remake of the original 1937 film, Kid Galahad was released by United Artists in August 1962. Kid Galahad is the story of Walter Gulick, a mechanic and two-bit boxer who gets into fighting for the money and wins all his bouts plus the heart of the girl he admires. Produced by Mirisch Company, Kid Galahad reached number nine at the box office, with the LP soundtrack of six songs issued to coincide with the film’s release. These oversized banners for Elvis' films instantly become a favorite display items for any serious collection. The banner measures 82 x 24 inches and presents with moderate to heavy scuffing a number of tears but tremendous color. Tape reinforcement on the reverse. Very Good to Excellent condition.
