Offered is a 1956 RCA Victor 45 RPM White Label “NOT FOR SALE” EP for Elvis Presley's smash hit single “Love Me Tender” / “Anyway You Want Me”. The EP format allowed for two songs on each side--singer Jean Chapel is on the second side of this one. Elvis recorded the song on August 24, 1956, at 20th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles. After its release on September 28, the song hit #1 on the Billboard charts the week ending November 3, 1956, remaining in the position for 5 weeks and reached no. 11 on the charts in the UK. "Love Me Tender" also reached number three for three weeks on the R&B chart. The record presents in VG condition with some visible scratches and toning on the label, and one small area of writing.
