Offered is an Elvis Presley stage-worn silk scarf given to a fan in the front row during a 1973 concert at the Las Vegas Hilton. The scarf is a much lesser-seen dark blue (almost purple!) variety of silk scarf. These silk scarves used between 1969 and 1973 are MUCH MORE RARE than the "facsimile signature" scarves of later shows. The scarf was acquired by a fan named Barbara. Her accompanying handwritten letter reads:

In 1975, I was in Las Vegas at the Riviera. Elvis was the entertainer to see - also my favorite. I was sitting on front row, and he was right by my row wiping his sweat DNA on these scarves. I waited nicely, and he noticed and came directly to me and put the scarf with his sweat around my neck and brushed his hand down my cheek. Ok, I was 25 years old and a lot thinner, but what a thrill of lifetime. And 3 yrs ago went to see his home and grave in te RV at sale today. I feel at one now. Hope whoever get this will love it as I did!

While she references "1975" in the letter, the unique silk composition, size and fold marks indicate this is an I.C. Costume produced scarf that Elvis used between 1969 and early 1973. It is not uncommon for a fan's recollection to shift the year slightly. This is an incredibly big opportunity to acquire a very tough Elvis stage-used scarf. The scarf measures 34 x 36 1/2 inches and presents with several larger stains, most-likely from sweat. Excellent condition.
