Offered is a tough to find concert poster promoting Elvis Presley's "Extra Special Show" on Sunday, September 2, 1973, at 3:00 a.m at The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. The poster emanates from the collection of Ed Bonja, Elvis Presley tour member and photographer--the poster was purchased directly from Ed by our consignor in the 1990s.
Elvis and Colonel Parker famously feuded over the scheduling of the show. And after Elvis said some untoward things about The Hilton during the show and goofed around more than normal, Parker and Presley had a knock-down, drag out argument in front of the entourage after which Elvis fired The Colonel. So much drama. The original poster measures 16 x 18 inches and it presents with heavy staining on the lower edge. Excellent condition.
