Offered are two of Elvis Presley's wicker pool chairs that were used at his Beverly Hills home on Hillcrest Drive. The chairs were featured in the September 14, 1980 sale by Don B. Smith Auction Co. featuring the "Personal Property Formerly Owned by Elvis & Priscilla Presley / Their Former Home at 1174 Hillcrest Road, Beverly Hills, California." This famous auction featured everything that was left in the Hillcrest house after Elvis' passing--furniture, art, sculptures, books, beds, typewriters...you name it! . Collector Elayne Marks purchased the chairs and many other items from the sale, and eventually sold most of them to legendary Elvis collector Mike Moon. Accompanied a certified copy of the 1981 "Bill of Sale" between Elayne Marks and Mike Moon, which lists the chairs. The chairs remained in Mike Moon's Elvis Presley Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for more than 35 years, and the photo at left shows one of the chairs on display at the museum. The chairs measure 15 x 34 inches when laid flat and present with signs of heavy use. Excellent condition.
