1968 Elvis Presley “Singer Presents Elvis” Mylar Poster – Rarely Seen Canadian "CTV" Promotional Item – Plus Original U.S. 2-Page Newspaper Ad for the Special (2 Items)

Offered is a rarely seen Canadian mylar promotional poster for Elvis Presley's legendary "68 Comeback Special"--in fact, we have NEVER seen another copy of this poster. The show was simply titled ELVIS, and was sponsored by Singer Sewing Machines. The program originally aired in December 1968 on U.S. television, and then was rebroadcast the following summer, and the offered poster was produced to promote the CTV airing of the special at that time. The top of the poster reads "Singer presents Elvis - CTV. sept.11. 8.30 p.m.", and tv listings from Canadian newspapers on that day confirm the air date and time (see image at left). The mylar poster has been adhered to a piece of foam core, but still maintains its original bold color and reflective impact. It measures 21 1/2 x 28 inches. Very Good condition. Also included is nice 2-page "double truck" U.S. newspaper ad for the original December 1968 airing of the special. It too is adhered to foam core backing board.
