Offered is a 1989 Gartlan USA Inc. statue of Joe DiMaggio in its original box. The bottom label of the statue reads: "Joe DiMaggio 5 Yankee Clipper / Personally approved and commended by Joe DiMaggio Commemorate his lifetime achievements. Limited to a distribution of 2,214 --his career base hit total." The figurine is unnumbered, because written in marker over the label is "Display Only/NOT FOR SALE." The Gartlan statues were produced in limited editions for DiMaggio and several other athletes and were scooped up by collectors. This copy, still housed in its original box, was sent to retailers for display, and NOT part of the LE run--there is no number written on the statue or the box label. The statue stand 9 inches tall and is 8 inches wide, still maintains its original bat and presents with just a few areas of scuffing, especially near the fingers. Excellent to Mint condition.
