Offered are a half sheet movie poster and a near set of seven lobby cards for Elvis Presley's 1969 film The Trouble with Girls (and how to get into it). Trouble was Elvis’ 30th movie and one of his final film roles. It was released in 1969 and based on the 1960 novel by Day Keene and Dwight Vincent Babcock entitled Chautauqua. Elvis plays the role of Walter Hale, the Chautauqua manager struggling to keep his traveling troupe together amidst a multitude of problems, including murder. The role is not the typical Elvis film formula and Elvis develops his character in such a way that the viewer is able to see his acting skill and enjoyment in the role itself. The half sheet measures presents with small tape stains at the corners, but is otherwise fairly clean and bright. Near Mint condition. The lobby cards measure 11 x14 inches and suffer edge and corner wear, with some wrinkling. Excellent condition overall.
