Offered is 1961 RCA Compact 33 Single of Elvis Presley's single “ Surrender” / “Lonely Man” with its picture sleeve. RCA introduced the Compact 33 in 1960, but the format was short-lived making Elvis' compact 33s very sought after. The song was released on February 7, 1961. "Lonely Man" was released as the flip side, and it peaked at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Surrender" reached number 1. "Lonely Man" is a song first recorded as part of the soundtrack for his 1961 movie Wild in the Country, but the song was eventually dropped from the movie. The movie was originally titled "Lonely Man", and an excerpt of Elvis singing the song could be seen in its original trailer, but the song was cut before release and the movie's title changed. The very tough to find sleeve is the real star here, and only suffers from a bit of circular wear from storage, and the vinyl is extremely clean BUT has a grease pencil mark on the “Surrender” side, creating a lower technical grade. Very Good+
