"Cash" for "Cash" signed by "CASH"! Offered is a Johnny Cash signed personal check written out for "CASH" on July 18, 1967 for $120. The check boasts a large blue signature of the music legend and is written out fully in his hand. This period in 1967 was a dark time in Johnny's life, as he was in the depths of addiction, so one can only imagine what this cash may have been used for. One need look no further that the cover photograph for the album Carryin' On with Johnny Cash & June Carter (shot the same month as the check was written) to see how much he was hurting. That said, the album produced some incredible songs, including "Jackson", "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man" and John and June's version of "It Ain't Me Babe." The check measures 8 x 3 inches and presents with expected cancellations but is in Near Mint condition.
