Offered is a 1963 set of autographs of The Beatles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were acquired by a fan who met the boys after a July 1963 concert in Somerset, England outside The Royal Pier Hotel. They played at the Odeon Cinema in Weston-super-Mare for six consecutive nights, with Gerry and the Pacemakers and Tom Quickly, among other acts. All four Beatles have signed boldly on the pages of her autograph book, with John, Paul and George adding "to Sandra". Each page is neatly notated with the date and even what kind of car they were in! The original autograph book is also included, and it contains the signatures of Gerry Marsden, Fred Marsden and Les Chadwick of The Pacemakers (Gerry is actually on the back of Paul's page in the framed display), Del Shannon, Tommy Quickly and others from the period. (The next year, Sandra added The Rolling Stones' signatures to her book--available elsewhere in this auction.) The Beatles signatures are presented in a framed display with a copy of the cover of their 1963 British concert tour program, The Beatles Show. Each page is accompanied by a separate letter of authenticity from Beckett Authenticated. The pages measure 4 x 3 inches, and the framed display measures 15 x 23 inches. Near Mint condition.
