1969 Subway Poster Featuring Elvis Presley and John Lennon - WOR FM 98.7 New York City Radio Station - "Gettin' It All Together"

Offered is a wonderful late-1960's artifact:  a 1969 Subway Poster Featuring Elvis Presley and John Lennon produced by New York City Radio Station WOR FM 98.7. The headline and theme of the ad campaign is "Gettin' It All Together", in pure 60's vernacular. Our consignor bothered the radio station enough in 1969 that they finally relented and sent him the offered poster! Elvis was experiencing a renaissance, of sorts, after the success of his NBC TV show, ELVIS, better known as the '68 Comeback Special. The artwork combines the iconic faces of the two rock & roll pioneers, quite appropriately, after all, because is was John Lennon who said, "Before Elvis, there was nothing. The poster measures 29 ½ x 45 inches and presents with expected wear from display in public, with some separation at the original factory folds, edge wear with some areas of paper loss.
