Offered is a gorgeous rhinestone brooch owned by Marilyn Monroe and gifted to her foster mother, Grace Goddard. The broach emanates from Marilyn's foster sister and teenage friend Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard. Goddard and Monroe met and became close friends when, after each had been in a series of foster homes, they spent several teenage years in the Van Nuys home of Goddard’s father, Ervin S. “Doc” Goddard and his new wife, Grace McGee Goddard, a close friend of Monroe’s institutionalized mother, Gladys Baker. They remained close during Marilyn's skyrocket to fame in the 1950s.

The brooch is accompanied by a 1999 letter from Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard and reads in part:

This rhinestone brooch belonged to my friend and foster sister Marilyn Monroe. The broach is made of different shaped clear rhinestones. Marilyn gave the broach to her foster mother and my stepmother, Grace Goddard along with several other items she no longer wanted. I have held onto the broach all these years and feel it is time to pass it on to one of her many fans.

The brooch measure 2 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches and presents in stunning Near Mint condition.
