Offered is a red and white flowered handkerchief that once belonged to Marilyn Monroe. The handkerchief emanates from Marilyn's foster sister and teenage friend Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard. Goddard and Monroe met and became close friends when, after each had been in a series of foster homes, they spent several teenage years in the Van Nuys home of Goddard’s father, Ervin S. “Doc” Goddard and his new wife, Grace McGee Goddard, a close friend of Monroe’s institutionalized mother, Gladys Baker. They remained close during Marilyn's skyrocket to fame in the 1950s.

The handkerchief is accompanied by a letter from Eleanor "Bebe" Goddard and reads in part:

This red & white handkerchief with flowers on it belonged to Marilyn Monroe. The handkerchief was in a makeup case that Marilyn used during her career. I found the case and its contents at my father's house, Doc Goddard, after his death and have held onto it all these years.

The handkerchief measures 11 1/2 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
