In the 1950s RCA promoted its artists and their latest releases by producing LP series entitled EZ Country and EZ Pop Programming. The records were marked "not for sale" as they were issued to radio stations intended as easy programming while advertising RCAs catalog of artists. Offered is one of these rare RCA Victor Promotional Records from 1956 labeled EZ Pop Programming No. 6. The 33 1/3 RPM record features Elvis Presley's "I Was The One" which was originally released as side B to "Heartbreak Hotel" in January 1956, at the beginning of Presley's historic year of dominating the charts and only a few short months after the November 1955 deal that moved Presley from Sun Records to RCA. Other artists represented on the record include Perry Como, Chet Atkins and more. The record measures 10 inches in diameter and presents in VG condition with moderate minor scuffing.
