Offered are two newspaper metal production plates with reporting on the death of Elvis Presley from August 17, 1977, the day following his passing. The plates are readable, as opposed to being in reverse, as the final printing plates would have been. The plates may have been created from these metal plates. They include the front page from the Kitchener-Waterloo Record newspaper from Kitchener, Ontario, and page 21 from the Cobourg Daily Star from Cobourg, Ontario. The plates measure 15 x 22 inches and have various scratches, and the Cobourg copy is missing a section from the lower right. Very Good condition overall, with the Kitchener in much nicer shape.
